Summary: Absolutely inspiring...
Comment: I love this book SO much that I had to double check to make certain I was reviewing the same book as the 3 previous people that gave it only 1 star each! This book reflects so much my husband and myself as far as style of decorating; the only difference is the houses in the book are architecturally more interesting than ours. However, I definitely plan to incorporate some of the ideas I got from this book into our home. I appreciate things about this book such as in "Two original offices", the combination of modern furniture with old world wall effects; in "Power to the imagination", the library nook at the top of the stairs which our home has a spot almost identical to & I was wondering what to do with it; strong use of lively colors such as "Making the most of corners" in the use of lavendar & blue around rustic materials. I found this book to be original & endlessly creative. Unfortunately, I don't own the one I used; but I plan to acquire a copy for my own because I know I would refer to it over and over. Congratulations to the authors & photographers on a wonderful collection of inspiring design ideas. As for the minimal verbage, who needs to editorialize when there is so much to take in visually? A picture speaks a thousand words...

Summary: Poor Dream
Comment: It's big, it's expensive and it's a quite beautiful hardcover edition but it's a mistake and definitely not worth.
What I imagine, and picture, as dream interiors I couldn't find on it. I had a huge dissapointment. It's confuse, badly written and has too many, and too short, chapters.
The interiors are mainly composed by small european apartments, full of designed furniture. Boring, the pictures don't help. My dream never came true on those pages too!!

Comment: Although decorated well, the homes picutred were not dream interiors. The pictures were poor in parts and the text uninspiring. I paid too much for so little.
