Summary: too fun!
Comment: I am a student of El Che. When I first ran across this book I was skeptical. I thought "who is this guy inventing El Che's feelings and thoughts?" I began reading it in order to be able to rightfuly denounce it. Well, I still am not a great fan of the first portion that covers Ernesto's childhood. But after that, the book is facinating. What a great job the author did in recreating how events "probably" unfolded. It was fun to speculate along with the author. I truely enjoyed the book once I got over the sac-religiousness of the concept! I wish I had thought of it. Of course we all fill in the details of other's lives using our own imagination and our own projections. Cantor just happened to write down his version of El Che's life.
Bravo....
Still, I sometimes have to check myself on details and think.... now was that something I read in a biography or was that from the fiction novel. That is a problem. I recommend that only those who know Che's true story first read this one.
