Comment: This book kept me enthralled from beginning to end. I didn't put it down until I was finished (which my spouse hated me for, ha ha). This is a book for anyone who's been in the military, in love or who has a great sense of humor.

Summary: A must-read for anyone!
Comment: I was hesitant to buy this book, but since it was supposed to be about Okinawa, Japan and the Marine Corps, I figured, "What the hey?" I wasn't disappointed - I was pleasantly surprised at how well written the book is. You get drawn into the story by Slim, the main character, who tells his tale. And the ending is nothing like what I expected.

Comment: This book is highly underrated - I truthfully didn't know what to expect when I ordered all of Ms. Hitchcock's books, but this one takes you by the balls (so to speak) and makes you gasp as you read it. A must for anyone - men, women, former military, vets - a disturbingly unexpected surprise ending!
