Summary: More mumbo jumbo
Comment: It's amazing what two people can "discover" when they make so many leaps of faith. Therein lies the irony--the authors betray such a hatred for catholicism and organized religion, yet essentially ask their readers to take a leap of faith to accept the authors' conclusions.
Very mundane and the research leaves much to be desired. Then again, if you really want your readers to accept your conclusions, why bother putting in any evidence to the contrary?

Summary: The most extraordinary book I have ever read.
Comment: The authors present their latest findings concerning the links between Jesus, his brother James, the first Jerusalem Church, the Knights Templar, the Turin Shroud and Freemasonry.
Without wishing to give away too much, the stories they unravel and the picture they lay before you develop and appear like the mysterious image of the Shroud itself; any hints given here would detract from the final impact as the book picks up more pace and rushes headlong to its conclusions. If they are to be believed, their theories will force a re-examination of the origins of Christianity - so this book will shock readers possessing less than open minds.
The authors' style of writing - almost conversational - is one which I expected to find distracting; far from it! It turned out to be especially appropriate when one considers the very special nature of some of the (purely coincidental) conversations they did have with some key characters who have been introduced to them. Their revelations are truly stunning.
Both authors are Freemasons of some years' standing; it is fascinating to see, even given that, how many obstacles to genuine research were placed in their way. In their words, "what is there to hide?" They found plenty.
My only criticism is of the authors' tendency to present their theories as fact... but the sheer weight of documented historical evidence lends a high degree of plausibility to those theories.
With every chapter containing so much complex detail, the inclusion of a brief, simple summary of each one is especially welcome and I have been stimulated to go in search of more books on the subject; I bought two more this week.

Summary: A book written by an athiest...
Comment: Here we go...For every topic, there are always 2 answers. Positive and negative. One always is the truth and one is false. After reading 'Resurrection of the shroud' by Mark Antonacci, I was stunned and amazed at the methods of testing the shroud. They proved in a billion to one chance that the shroud did belong to Jesus. The only scientist who disagreed, was in the 70's and a hater of Christianity. He refused to hand over any data, and the piece of the shroud he tested, and instead claimed to newspapers that the shroud was false. He refused to let anyone know the 100 percent proof that Jesus did exist! He soon was discredited and had to turn over the test piece, which was miniscule anyhow and he did damage it so nobody could test it. Scientist since have tested the whole shroud and proven that Christianity is the one true religion and Jesus did live and die on the cross. Of course, I knew after reading that book, that ther would be another liberal athiest liar out there with a book of lies with no scientific proof and behold...I'ts by christopher knight and robert lomas.(I didn't capitalize for a reason)These two are just 2 of millions that cannot accept proof of anything they hate. If a coin landed heads, they would refuse to accept and say it was tails. A book that is a total bore and a lie. If you want to read a book of lies with zero proof, try this or book of mormon.
