Summary: Technically Perfect
Comment: I was hoping for more beautiful pictures within the book like the one on the cover, and was disappointed to find that there were only a few. BUT, this book is very precise in description and diagram on how to achieve the perfect vintage '40's coif. What else is nice about this is the way styles are broken down into hair lengths. I am not very skillful at hairstyling, but will give some a try.

Summary: Nice hair
Comment: This is an easy to read little book, that gives the basics of 40s hairstyles. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. I haven't tried any styles yet, but I am eagerly anticipating my first head full of pin curls! My only complaint is that I wish there were more hairstyles, and a few less copy editing errors, but this is a good guide to great hair.

Summary: So much fun!
Comment: Even if you never try these hairstyles on your own this book is highly enjoyable. As a fan, collector, and dabbler of recreating vintage styles and period looks, this book is hard to put down. It's an illustrated history lesson, PLUS it has tons of actual practical information on how the looks were achieved in the 1940s and suggestions on how you too can achieve the looks.
I was very impressed with the depth of information in the
book and the Hollywood starlet pics are a plus. :) It's a slim text but packs a lot.
This book is very high on the glamour meter. I plan on buying all of Daniela Turidich's books!
Highly recommended!
