Summary: I loved it!
Comment: I hated to see this book end. Maggie's life was so real to me. She could be a woman of any era facing the same personal trials we all face. I found the details about rural North Carolina, Raleigh and what is now Meredith College made this a compelling page-turner. I loved it!

Summary: Disappointing
Comment: I may have missed the boat on this one but I have a problem getting into Maggie's true personality... Wash was such a charming fellow, yet she gave her heart and soul totally to Reece who everyone said was a scoundrel from start to finish...I don't think Maggie was true to herself whatsoever. She adored her third child yet I think she ignored her first two. Poor Tate. How could he have put up[ with all her ongoing trash?? I guess she was really mentally ill from the get go. AS a Tar Heel, born and bred, I loved the North Carolina scenes but let there not be a sequel of Maggie. I just do not care whether she came back or not.

Summary: Between the Rivers
Comment: The story of Maggie Lorena will keep the reader spellbound throughout the entire book. This is Carolyn Booth's first novel and I look forward to more of her novels. ...
