Summary: Definitely not "All the Legal" things you need to know...
Comment: I read this book several months ago after my father passed away. I have been named administrator for the estate by the courts, and I had a small hope that this book would allow me to handle the estate without a lawyer or with very little outside legal help. After reading the book, I realized that the authors DO NOT want people to handle their own legal situations; after all, the authors are attorneys. If this is your intention in buying the book, then you will probably be wasting your time. Several chapters are basic information on immediate matters after a death, things that a person learns after they are in the thick of things and probably have dealt with before purchasing this book. Then another chapter was for estate planning - this made the book far too broad and diluted. In conclusion, my particular aim was to learn about Illinois law in regards to estates. I think my time would have been better utilized reading Illinois law/statutes directly.
