Summary: Let that Be the Reason You Buy This Book
Comment: My cousin gave me Let that Be the Reason and told me I had to read it. I couldn't put it down from the second I started reading it. It is like a ghetto anthem. It portrays the everyday life of a woman whose been scorned that gets back up on her feet and does what she has to do to provide from hers. It is the story of a lot of girls in the ghetto. The girl falls in love, has a child, the man leaves her with nothing and she has to find a way to make it to the top. Carmen is that woman and you will simply fall in love with that character. I got to the point where I could see no wrong in her even though I knew what she was doing wasn't the best thing. What's so dynamic about this book is that Carmen can be your sister, your best friend, the girl down the block or even you. This book is a "must read" and you better believe I'm reading every book published by Triple Crown.

Summary: Darren's review
Comment: If you enjoyed 'The Coldest Winter Ever', 'True to the Game', or 'B-More Careful' then you will love 'Let That Be the Reason'. I read a variety of fiction, from urban romance & crime, to mainstream fiction by authors like John Grisham & James Patterson. I don't judge a book by whether or not it is a good "Black" story, I judge whether or not it is good period. I loved this book because it pulled me in to the story from the beginning and gave me a reason to care about what happened to Carmen (the main character). If a book makes you root for the heroine and despise the villains, as this one does ... it's a good book! As a matter of fact I read it in 2 days and e-mailed the author to let her know how much I appreciated her work.

Summary: Who Eva said Chicks can't HUSTLE
Comment: OK you did the damn thang. This book was HOT. Pamela/Carmen was real. She made mistakes that I wanted to HURT her for, but then she would handle her BI (Business). When she got on her grind she was like WHAT. But her downfall was being a woman who loved and lost. CHINO.
I was like why she end it like this????? But I guess she has to keep us wanting more. The sequel needs to hit the street like ASAP. I am waiting.
BTW is she locked up or what????????
