Summary: Tested in Golf School
Comment: Having attended his seminars and studied his teachings for two years, we revised our golf school's curriculm to comply fully with Manuel's approach to the game. Students are relieved by its simplicity and delighted by its effectiveness. As opposed to the typical golf description that is too often dispensed for teaching the game, we call his work "poetry of golf instruction." It is brief, vivid, and gets the job done.
From a discipline that comes from 60 years of teaching, Manuel is very careful with his words and that pays big dividends when reading his book. All of our students buy the book and find it to be a valuable reference.

Summary: Best I've read....
Comment: I must own easily 20-30 golf instruction books. Everything from The Little Red Book by Harvey Penick to Butch Harmon's Playing Lessons. This was by far the easiest to put into practice. His simple concept of swinging the club back with the hands and forward with the arms is a master stroke (pardon the pun). When using his method your mind becomes uncluterred and your body is free to just swing the club. I received this book about 3 days ago read it cover to cover and the re-read the "swing" section. Without having hit one ball on the range I went out and shot an 85 with a triple bogey on the last hole. (I'm a 16 handicap) Never have I felt so relaxed and confident on the course. Anyone who buys this book will improve his/her game. Good luck.

Summary: Very good book for golfers of all handicap levels
Comment: This has to be one of the better golf swing books on the market. The author does an excellent job of focusing on the importance of what the golf club is doing, versus body positions, and how the body should react to the swing motion. This book has the potential to help a lot of people's golf games in my opinion. I currently have a 13 handicap and have always struggled with too much tension, particularly in the left arm, and expect this teaching to help my game a lot.
One improvement I would like to see in the book is more pictures of the golf grip he recommends, pictures of how the club should lay in the hands with the hands open, so I could get a better idea of how this grip compares to others.
I would highly recommend this book to beginning golfers as well as more experienced ones.
