Summary: Too much of the same, but still enjoyable
Comment: As a former South Shore resident who now lives in LA, I was very excited to see that this book exists. However, I was less thrilled when it arrived in the mail. My problem was that many of the entries (the book appears to be comprised of local photo contest winners) cover the same subject over and over. I don't want 6 different photos of the same location (Jenny Grist Mill, Hingham Harbor,etc). I wanted more diversity. Also, there weren't enough house photos. The South Shore's architecture is truly glorious, and I would have enjoyed seeing more pictures of each town's outstanding homes. Perhaps a second volume entitled "South Shore Homes " is due.
