Summary: I'm No Hero
Comment: Back in about 1973 I was a young "Pup" at an all time low in my life. I was feeling sorry for myself because of how life was treating me. By chance, I attended a "Think and Grow Rich," seminar in Arizona. That's where I met Charlie Plumb. After listening to him tell part of his story, I bought a copy of his book "I'm No Hero." For the next couple of days I read his book (when I could see through the tears, that is). It helped change me and in turn , my life. . . I lost my copy when I moved from Arizona, but that's OK, the message found on it's pages have stuck with me. I found myself referring people to it when they were feeling low and I've bought and given a few copies to friends through the years. I just bought another copy this time for me, I hope. I can recommend this book as one that will make you stop and think about what's really important in your life. You will want to share it's message with those you care about.

Summary: Searching for years
Comment: I read Charlie Plumb's book, "I'm No Hero" back in the early 80's while I was a journalism student at the University of Mississippi. It was a powerful book and it brought me to tears several times. It was compelling and it made me really appreciate our Vietnam War veterans and POW'S more than ever. I was so moved by the book that I wanted my best friend to read it who lived in another state. I mailed it to him and I never did hear back from him. Finally, he admitted that he lost the book. That was in 1990. I have been looking to replace this book for 10 years and finally, I am going to be able to get another copy through Amazon.com. Thank you Mr. Plumb and Amazon.com! As soon as I get my new book, I am going to re-read it immediately. And hopefully one day, I would like to meet Mr. Plumb in person and shake his hand and tell him, "Mr. Plumb, you are a hero in my eyes and always will be." God Bless America and all war veterans! I appreciate what you have done for me.

Summary: He is a hero
Comment: I not only have read his book , I also had the oppertunity to hear him speak. If you haven't read his book , please do. These are the type of people we as a nation owe a great debt. His book and experiences will move anyone. As a morse code operator in the Vietnam era Army I can relate to the tap code they used .
