Summary: Completely ignores Pakistani Terrorism
Comment: Looking for historical facts about Kashmir? Look somewhere else.
Schofield completely ignores the history of the region that points an accusing finger towards islamic terrorism responsible for forcible conversion of Hindus and Buddhists to Islam.
She has not given importance to the fact that Pakistani terrorists tried to infltrate the region in 47 and then again in 65 but were beaten by the Indians.
She again ignores the curse of terrorism, Al Qaida and Taliban active in the valley today, all with the help of rogue elements in Pakistani army.
This book is certainly a good attempt at writing history of the troubled region but Pakistani terrorism is a part of this history. Thousands of people have been killed by these Pakistani terrorists. Lets not insult them by ignoring them.

Summary: Ignores the cancer of Islam and Terrorism
Comment: Review on Kashmir in Conflict by Victoria Schofield:
VS still hasn't woken up after 911 in NYC. She fails to understand the true evil of Islamic terrorism that India has been suffering from in last 800 years. Yes, last 800 years. All of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kashmir was 100% Hindu and Buddhist (though, those religions are not much better either) forcibly converted to Islam. The fact that the Kashmir valley is 96% muslim, though the valley itself is only 15% of the entire Jammu & Kashmir state, is reason enough that the entire state should be given over to the Pakistani terrorists. VS's main argument is 1) Valley is mostly muslim 2) Pakistan is a declared Islamic State (undemocratic, fuedalistic, religiously Hitlerian against any religion other than Sunni Islam). 3) Give Kashmir to Pak and there will be peace forever. 4) No understanding of the fact India is a secular, non-hindu constitutional democracy (though messy) and not a Hindu STATE despite having over 90% hindu population. Minority muslims in India have more rights than in Pak though recently some traditionally tolerant and peaceful Hindu elements are going overboard in their response to fight the evil cancer of Islam (inevitably, when you fight evil, you absorb a little of that evil yourself - this truth is for me the most DISHEARTENING). VS doesn't understand that Muslims will never stop until the whole world is Islamic. If you don't agree, please reread last 1200 years' history and tell me which civilizations you choose to ignore which have been cleansed of infidelism

today 5)The Hindus, Buddhists and Jains of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kashmir 6) Bangaldeshis were once all 100% Hindus 7)The beutiful old civilizations of Indonesia, Malaysia which are recently turning officially repressive Islamic states though barely 50% of the population is Muslim.7) How many more do you want me to list? That is the evilness of Islamic cancer. It only takes a few to contaminate the WHOLE. Islam is fastest growing population in Europe and the fastest growing religion in USA. Perhaps in 500 years we will have the Islamic Republic of America and UK. Perhaps you will be satisfied, Victoria, when your great grand daughters are Burqa clad teens about to be taken as the 11th wife of a Koran toting 65 year old Mullah.
So, India only has to give up Kashmir for the Muslims to stop. Wake up Victoria. You seem well intentioned (despite being Benezir Bhutto's friend) and your book seems scholarly though extremely tilted towards Pakistan. You want peace at any cost.
You want India to appease the Islamic terrorists who believe in a religion that openly vouches discriminatory priciples 100
times more abhorrant than Nazism. Would you appease Nazism too if only it was as successful as Islam in contaminating the
world and spreading and conquoring?
