Summary: This a good book for RESTORATIONS!
Comment: The gripes most people seem to have are along the lines of: "It doesn't show me how to do little things..." That's right, it doesn't, because a restoration is no little thing! It's a long, meticulous process with a lot of attention to detail. The book is good for it's intended purpose.

Summary: It was not quite what i was looking for
Comment: I found that the book to me an ameture lack the practical detail I would have liked. Being called the restoration guide i thought it may be useful for small restoration projects but it seems more for the complete rebuild and or at least where expense of parts is not that much of a factor. I readily admit probably bought the wrong book. Pitty jim tylers book mgb survival manual or the mgb step by step maintance guide seem to be out of print. Both books that would probably be more suited to an ameture like me. Prehaps the reason that these books are out of print is that the MGB has passed from the student mobile to more of a classic that expects people with expertise or cash to pay some one else to do the work. Well I am one of the old type (no longer student) but an amerture who likes things spelt out and pritty much run things on a shoe.

Comment: While it has some photos and covers some topics that the standard repair manual does not (such as cutting out rusty body parts and replacing them), it lacks information you need to trouble shoot. If you want to work with what you have this is not the book for you. If you want to buy new or used parts and stick them on, this book is for you.
