Comment: This little novel is well worth its price. Best read when curled up in bed at night! Brrr! Hundreds of grisly tales -- some merely a paragraph, some many pages long -- are contained in this book, giving quite a chilling survey of Edinburgh's past. There is one slight problem, though -- at least in the copy I have. The book is divided into two sections, "Sinister" and "Ghostly." It appears that the two sections got switched in the printing! The Sinister tales appear under the Ghostly heading and vice versa. But who cares, the stories are still great, especially the ones based on real-life occurences.
