Summary: Excellent introductory text
Comment: I first read this text as a dental student several years ago as a supplement to my regular curriculum. I have read it cover to cover several times since and still find it an invaluable companion to my current practice. Even till today, I still consider this text revolutionary, and it still seems like one can pick up something new with each reading.Topics dicussed in the book like immediate loading, treatment prognosis and treatment planning remains as the basis for much of my practice belief. Though obviously the book is rather dated, much of its content has significant importance in today's practice in implant dentistry.

The only thing one must keep in mind is that its true strength lies in the fact that it serves extremely well as an introductory text as well as provides a broad platform for a clinician to further expand his knowledge in this field. Using the book alone to plunge into implant dentistry is inadvisable as this field continues to grow exponetially. But I personally feel that its place as an essential reading model for dentists today is vey much secured.

I look forward to see a new edition of this book (hopefully!!) to come out in the future!
