Summary: Extremely basic. It'll leave you counting and saying 'Hi'
Comment: Don't expect much from this. This is really more a waste of time than anything else. If you're travelling to Ethiopia, and you speak english, then you really don't have to worry. Many Ethiopians speak english, and many of the signs are in english/amharic.

What use is it to learn how to count, or say hi, when you'll need to speak english to communicate anyhow?

Summary: Big help for new beginners from Sweden
Comment: We went on holiday to Ethiopa and brought this book with us. It turned out to be a very useful. The book is pedagogically constructed and you can quickly find what you're looking for. As a tourist you get a good insight of the countries culture and social behaviour. I recommed this book to everyone who is planning to go to Ethiopia on holiday or try to learn Amharic at home.
