Summary: Muscular Dystrophy, beautifully written
Comment: A beautiful book. Simon, the main character, has muscular dystrophy, and is in its final cruel days. His brother, David, is a great football player. They share hurt, and suffer hurt alone.
Elizabeth loves both of them. Every teenage girl should know Elizabeth. She relies on Simon's strength.
The grandmothers, however, are the true heroes. Their strength is amazing. Their lives are beautifully written. Any grandmother will love this book.
This is a wonderful, sad, happy, Christian, poetic book. It shows that everyone has a dystrophy of some type, and we should all carry the cross.
A rewarding book, a must read.
