Comment: This amazing, well-researched book will be of interest to anyone who advocates integrated or alternative medicine. Thirty-five plants and their medicinal uses are discussed in detail. I found it interesting that their uses have changed little since Bible times. For example, mint was a "healing and curative agent" then, and still is today--peppermint stimulates the heart; spearmint is good for stress relief. This is not a book about old-fashioned out-dated remedies, but a scholarly work of up-to-date knowledge of the healing plants.
