Summary: Absolutely Enthralling!
Comment: After reading two chapters of Joshua Gilder's GHOST IMAGE, I was hooked. GHOST IMAGE is the story of Jackson Maebry, and up and coming plastic surgeon studying under the 'Plastic Surgeon to the Stars', Peter Brandt. Jackson's life seems to be going well. After all, he has a great job, a promotion on the horizon and a wonderful girlfriend he wants to marry. One night Jackson's life comes tumbling down around him when his girlfriend Allie is brought into the ER after a severe assault. She is in pretty bad shape and it's not looking good. While trying to help Allie on the road to recovery, Jackson starts discovering a few things about her, and himself, which make him wish he didn't start digging into her past or try to find her attacker.
Filled with a cast of intriguing chracters, deft storylines and a fast-paced plot, GHOST IMAGE is a true thrilller. Joshua Gilder should be proud of this, his first novel. He has a talent for suspense, and his writing winds you through so many twists and turns, you never want it to end. Highly recommended!

Summary: Plastic Surgery with a twist
Comment: I don't usually think of plastic surgeons as subject matter for medical thrillers, but the author of this book does an excellent job of convincing me it is possible. I am a sucker for medical thrillers and when they are well written, I have a hard time putting them down. Gilder combines enough medical information to satisfy me with enough suspense to keep me going. I enjoyed this novel thoroughly and recommend it highly. If you're a fan of Robin Cook or Michael Crichton, you'll love Gilder.

Summary: The Envy Of Excellence To Joshua Gilder New Book!
Comment: The author, Joshua Gilder will be making an impact upon American Literature for sometime to come if this novel is any kind of example. I found this book to be simply a breath of great pride to read.
He blends realism with fiction, good against evil, and doubters to decision makers into a twirling tale to the struggle of figuring out who is committing atrocities of murder in the book. The writer uses his talents to describe the complicated medical terms and techniques into easy reading even as the situation starts to unravel the dark murder mystery. The author writes in a very smart and adroit manner. The arcade of distinguishing personalities written into the story and well-structured, flavorful text combine in capturing you from the first chapter.
I highly recommend you buy this book and take it with you on a trip. It will make your travel go faster as you wait in lines. The ending will make you feel glad you took the time to read it. This man knows how to think and write is all I can say!
