Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK FOR PRESCHOOLERS
Comment: Scaredy Mouse is my son's favorite book. He is two and a half, and the first time I read this book aloud, he loved it! Squeak and his sister, Nibbles are trying to sneak to the kitchen and squeak keeps on thinking that he is getting caught by "THE CAT!!" when actually he is just seeing things that look like the cat... until the end when Squeak and Nibbles end up catching the cat themselves. If you are a parent who likes to read with lots of enthusiasm, then you MUST HAVE THIS BOOK!!

Summary: Great read aloud for preschoolers
Comment: I am a librarian currently doing 3 toddler/preschool storytimes each week. I've shared this book with many, many children and they really get a kick out of it. They particularly like the repetitive phrase "Squeak went this way and that. Willy nilly round and back." By the end of the story many children are repeating that back to me. I just shared it with a group for the second time and they got really excited when I got to that part and quickly chimed in. Children also like being able to recognize what Squeak is seeing each time he thinks he sees the cat. It also has great endpapers! I would highly recommend this book.
