Comment: We live overseas, and have used this guide for years. When space is limited, this guide is the ONE most valuable resource for finding really fun places to stay. Not the top of the line hotels, not the anonymous Holiday Inn kind of hotel room with no character, these hotels are, for the most part, totally charming. We look for the Michelin red R kind of places; great atmosphere at reasonable prices. We also look for location. This guide spells it out, the good and the bad, the prices and what other guests have found most pleasant and most annoying. It is our absolute first choice in guides to places to stay.
