Summary: Walter, and my libraries
Comment: I work at the Ogdensburg Public Library in Ogdensburg New York. The Children's Librarian told me that she would not have this book in her library because he used "the f word". I was very surprised at this. I only stumbled upon the book because it was on the best seller list and was happy that I did. I rushed to Amazon.com and bought two of these books (one for the Ogd Public Library and one for a near-by library i work at). Do your part, and purchase Walter for your local library. I was told she wouldn't buy it because she couldn't even say..dare I say it...fart in her house when she was young. Well ladies and gentleman, in case you haven't noticed, this is not the 1940's anymore, we have progressed as a nation to the point where kids can laugh at the word fart. If libraries start banning books with the word fart what is next? Also, where do they get off having books on sex coming out of the woodwork, but no WALTER THE FARTING DOG? Thanks for hearing my rant!

Summary: A Real Gas!!
Comment: I ran across this book one day while looking through the shelves of children's books at a local bookstore several weeks ago, and I still chuckle to myself every time I think about it. Even though my son is only 2 and a bit young for the text, I plan to purchase the book and keep it for myself until he's old enough to appreciate it!!! I couldn't stop laughing the entire time I was reading the book, and the illustrations are amazing and captivating!!! Anyone with a sense of humor should treat themselves to this wonderfully hilarious book or give it as a gift to someone who could use a serious laugh!!

Summary: Walter the Farting Dog
Comment: I loved this book, what a chance to sit down and laugh!! I bought it for my six year old nephew and honestly I thought is was much funnier than he did, I laughed everytime I read it. While it may not be a classic, take it for what it is-a chance to just laugh about a fat dog with gas!!
