Summary: the best book read in a while
Comment: I read this book in like 11 hours couldn't put it down. The first was really good, it broke my heart, couldn't beleive a man would do something like that on new year's eve, i was almost glad i was alone. (sike)!! Second story was ok, i think it would hav been better if it was told in a whole book. The thrid story was the best, I would love to know what happens to Jazz in college. I look forward to readin more from all these ladys.

Summary: A compelling read
Comment: This novella consists of three stories, which involve young African American women under the age of 30. A Matter Of Trust is the first story by authur Latwaan Green. The heroine Alexis is an up and coming journalist who writes stories that expose the real goings on in the music industry. The only problem is that her long-term boyfriend Kavon is next in line to run the family business, which mentioned in the expose'. The story heats up when Kavon shatters there relationship with infidelity. She then turns to "the bartender", who offers her a shoulder to cry on. This was a well written story with a great plot and interesting characters. The next story A Fateful Possibility was written by Lashell Shawnte Stratton. This story involves 23 year old Christine. Christine has some serious controlling Mama issues. Her mother is intent on planning the society wedding of the year. The only problem is that the bride is somewhat reluctant but is not quite sure why. A great story that flows nicely with great characters. The final story and in my opinion the best belonged to 19 year old authur Kori Nicole Brown. This story is an emotionally riveting account of a 19 year olds life. This story told in the first person weaves a shockingly realist tale that involves a disfunctional family and an abusive NBA bound boyfriend. By the end of this story I was in tears. Ms. Brown definitely has a bright future ahead of her in liturature.
