Summary: Lovely multicultural book for children
Comment: We are a multi-race family. This boook is such an excellent tool to teach diversity to a very young child.

The prayers are very sweet - but the best part is the paper-doll like shape. The children's illustrations are beautiful. My 11-month-old smiles when we open up the book and he sees all the children.

We also used this book when teaching kindergarteners in Sunday School.

Summary: Excellent resources
Comment: This book has been a wonderful resource tool to use in teaching with young children in a sacred setting. The prayers are thoughtful and the author uses "Lord" language that allows this be used in Christian, Jewish, and other faith settings. The illustrations show children of a variety of cultures wearing everyday play clothes. The book is a "board" book cut out in the shape of a child. The pages are connected just as if they had been made as cut-out paperdolls. The prayers are all on one side and the children on the other. It makes a great multicultural table top book for class room use and discussion since it folds out and stands up on its own when spread out. (Children can also help hold it for group or circle times.) I also use it in my home with my own child as a prayer book and as a converstion starter about the cultures of the children in his preschool.
