Summary: Prince Charming
Comment: This is a charming book that introduces children to the possibility that little kings can do whatever they please - and there's certainly no need to please Mother! Love rears its head in many unusual places, and it's about time an alternative gets some attention. Why does a prince always have to settle down with a princess? We always love it when a price falls for a peasant girl instead, so why not a peasant boy (or another prince)? I do have a complaint about certain critics who believe it is wrong to introduce these concepts to children, though: When two men fall in love and want to live happily ever after, why do you always assume they're gay??? This book has nothing to with sex, and everything to do with love. It's perfect for children, so get your minds out of the gutter!

Summary: A Cute Little Story
Comment: It's an interesting twist on the old "the prince must marry!" tale. The Queen insists that her son marries...he agrees though he's not big on princesses. One after another parades in front of him until Princess Madeline brings along her brother, Prince Lee. Love blooms and they live happily ever after.
There is little to worry about this book: it's about two people who meet and fall in love. The fact that they are both princes is irrelevant. The book doesn't say that this is right or wrong, just that it makes them both happy. The Queen just seems pleased that her son is happy ~ again she doesn't judge the situation.
Most of the kids I read this to never caught on to the political ramifications of same-sex marriage. They just enjoyed it. The multimedia artwork is a tad distracting, but the kids enjoyed seeing it.
Teachers may want to use this book as an introduction to multi-media art and follow it up with similiar crafts
Rating: 5
Summary: Read this if you think King and King will corrupt your kids.
Comment: Many parents have objected to this book because they think that it will force them to explain gay sex to their children. But let's take a look at how the princes really express their love: They hold hands, and they kiss. How many times have you read books about straight couples who hold hands and kiss to your kids? And have those books provoked discussions about sex? I doubt they did.
