Comment: This book includes simple, yet extremely practical and powerful techniques to guard your heart and mind from sexual temptation. The most helpful tips I found were the two key scripture verses the authors recommend to be your "sword" and "shield" when your eyes begin to roam. I have begun applying the techniques for the past few days and believe me...they work!
This book is great for single guys, no matter what their age. Even though the language seems to be directed toward teen singles, it is great for us guys in midlife too! I found the book much more helpful for us singles than "Every Man's Battle".
This is THE BEST book on the subject I have found! Get it...now!

Summary: Finally, straight talk from real people
Comment: Arterburn & Stoeker do an excellent job of talking straight to the single male. Though the book is entitled Every Young Man's Battle this book deals with the very real sexual struggles of every man that is single. I would highly recommend this book to all men ages, High School on up.
The book finally gives straight talk on the issues of masturbation, soft porn, the wandering eyes, and the issues of lust in our culture. In a world where sexual images and humor crowd our airwaves from radio to television this is a needed tool to stay the battle.
This is not just a book on staying pure, but one that gives real resons for trying to do so. Testimonies of men who have struggled, fallen, and then regained their purity are given throughout this book.
I would encourage every man to read this book, and encourage you to buy extras to share with others who may also be struggling to remain pure.

Comment: The book might help you get over porn addiction but it will certainly help you become a self-righteous fundamentalist. In one instance the author chastises a friend for NOT noticing the sexual innuendos in a movie. So who went home justified? The Pharisee or the Publican? He also blames women for wearing short skirts.
This book, like religion, will make your life more difficult and happiness elusive. I regret buying this book.
