Summary: Great concept, a little overstimulating
Comment: I like the concept of this book very much -- the tabs cue the baby to the key point on the page and help the baby learn to turn pages (although my 7-month-old can already turn pages). Overall, I like the book, but I have a few criticisms: (1)There is too much going on, so it's a little overstimulating, especially if your baby is tired; (2) With some pages, you see more than one animal, so it's a little confusing what to focus on (and therefore which animal to associate with the words); (3) The text could be improved (it would be nice to have text with a little more rhythm or consistency to reinforce the associations). Nevertheless, an alert baby (who is not too tired to handle all the stimulation) will enjoy the book.
