Summary: An Essential Starting Place
Comment: I came into this book at the recommendation of a friend at a Neuro-linguistic Programming seminar. Coming from a rather straightforward psychological background, I was rather dismayed that she had recommended a book on "magick." FutureRitual, however, is a particularly unique look at an ancient tradition, using the language and models of modern psychology and NLP. It's a hell of a lot of fun, and the metaphoric stories offer more unconscious information than most readers will notice right at first... Give it some time to seep in... and do the exercises...

Summary: Simplistic book on magickal basics
Comment: I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that this book is basically a rehash of core ideas presented in other books which are probably better described by other authors. Farber does help one to personalize the rituals (see LBRP) but really does not add anything new or revolutionary to the curriculum. He does give some of his personal experiences but I finsished the book in about 45 minutes with little taken from it. If you are looking for 21st century magick I would suggest Liber Kaos by Peter Carroll who really DOES take magick kicking and screaming into the new millennium.
