Summary: Good, but very light. Best suited for introductions.
Comment: I purchased this book hoping to get a better understand of COM and how it relates to VB. While I did get some of that, I was still left hungering for more meat. Very little of this book is dedicated to understanding the inner workings of COM. Although this book is well written and informative, it is just too introductory for a book that is suppose to be for enterprise developers. Thus if you want a basic introduction to COM buy it. If not, don't.

Summary: Very Informative & Great Exercises
Comment: This book has really helped me jump into learning how to create server side components for Microsoft Transaction server and components for stand alone applications as well. From the history of VB and COM to finely tuned real world examples, this book covers it all. Although it could have done without the Internet primer (like what is HTML?) I think a majority of the book is chalk full of COM and VB goodies. Enjoy! I sure did...
