Summary: As much detail as anyone could ask for
Comment: I first ran across this book a few years ago when doing research for my book, "The PK Zone." I needed something that covered the different functions of the left and right brain, and how they interact. "The Human Frontal Lobes" proved to be a virtual goldmine! This book is an incredible compilation of chapters on a field where not only is there intensive research, but recent findings have greatly changed our understanding of how the brain works. The pages contain a virtual wonderland of everything currently known about how the frontal lobes work, including split brain studies, functional (fMRI) brain scan results, CAT scans, and more. I absolutely loved "The Human Frontal Lobes," found it extremely insightful, and am delighted to have it in my library. If you want facts and details it simply cannot be beat.
I would add one caveat. The terminology in this book is very complex as befits a medical textbook. Anyone who doesn't have a background in medicine or physiology may have real trouble understanding the material, even with a scientific/medical dictionary. It is not for the casual reader. Also, this version is several years old. Because of the cutting edge research continuing in this field, one hopes that it will be updated soon. As it is, I am greatly looking forward to any and all future editions.
