Comment: Well written, informative and entertaining. The best travel book I've read. Far and above any LP Guide I've purchased. Covers Cuba today and a provides valuable historical information in an unbiased manner. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: A Wealth of Detailed Information --Cover to Cover
Comment: The Moon Travel Cuba Handbook (not to be confused with other Cuba Handbooks) is an excellent source for travelers in Cuba.(Paladares-private restaurants in Cuba- come and go overnight.Info should be confirmed) After spending four weeks touring Cuba (June '98), I found this book to be a much more detailed resouce than Fodors and Lonely Planet. Every time I referred to this book, my Cuban family and exaptriate friends were impressed at the extent and accuracy of the informaion. It covers everything you expect, and alot more that only someone like Christopher Baker, who has spent alot of time touring the country, associating with the people and enjoying the culture can express.

Summary: The best travel guide for Cuba
Comment: This is the most extensive and best written travel guide for Cuba. It covers everything you can see there. If it doesn't list some places, that means it's nothing to do there. The guide is a bit outdated, especially the restaurant sections. In such cases we consulted the Rough Guide to Cuba, which is more up-to-date, but covers much less than a Moon Handbook. I hope it will be updated soon.
