Summary: Excellent, Undiscovered game
Comment: This game was excellent. The story line was rich, the manual was comprehensive, the sound was sharp and varied, and the levels were rich and full of logic puzzles and combat. The combat included all kinds of acrobatic manuevers, and several blade attacks. Also, Corvus, the hero, swims, climbs, rolls, ducks, jummps, flips, and slashes. There are a huge number of offensive and defensive spells, as well as a large number of enemies to fight. The cooperative multiplayer is awesome, and the deathmatch is also, good, although you can't add computer characters in deathmatch. Only two complainst. First, the game is too short, and second, the graphics are a little crude. In any case, the smooth transitions, great videos, and detailed environments compensate for the graphics, and for the average gamer the game is long enough. Overall, this was one of the best games that I've ever played, and is orderso of magnitude better than heretic I.

Summary: This Game is Underrated
Comment: One of the best of the undiscovered Quake II engines, they have put together an awesome game. I couldn't let it go with the slam. The game is enthralling, thought provoking Action Adventure with good puzzles and game play. Published around the same time as Half-life it shows what different could be done with some imagination

Summary: Back to the drawing board.
Comment: Ok, I haven't read the book. Bought the game, Heretic II. (Loved Heretic and Hexen) Heretic II is so changed it's not the same at all. Instead of being the hand as point of reference, holding whatever weapon you have, you now must manipulate a little elf guy who moves very clunkily. Oh yes, now we get movies along with an annoying loud musical sound track, but there is no familiar map showing where you've been and haven't been. Instead there is one picture that looks like a clumsy drawing by a child and you are supposed to figure out what room you are in. It is also complicated to make the elf move. It was so tedious and boring that I took the game back. Two calloused thumbs down!
