Summary: Poor work
Comment: Dear fellow reader
I have bought and read this book and I must say that I was very disappointed in its written captions and in its organisation (or lack of it), While the book is full of colourful pictures of people pressing their bodies against each other, it is a fact that the accompanying captions lack any real information other than some general mish-mash which tends to be repetitive at times. As for the organisation of the book, the reader's attention is kindly drawn to the fact that the sexual positions are presented in a disorganised manner and one has to keep turning the pages back and forth to try and make sense of what exactly is the difference between someof the sexual positions ..., the content of the book could have been presented in a more organised manner in which it would be easier to see the difference between sexual positions of "overall similar" mode of entery and relative body positions...., I conclude by saying that Given the material the writer had access to (the kama sutra and scented garden along with an oriental manual) I would have written a far better book that would have a far better presentation. you can buy the book to read (or look at the pictures I guess..!) but don't expect too much if you are a critical reader.

Summary: I would expect better from Hooper
Comment: Ok, its not to bad, but not to good either. First off, the book is huge, not in lenght, but in actual size. Its hard to even fit it on a book shelf.
It has nice photographs, and several pictures of positions etc. But it doesnt go into detail enough on how to do the possitions. I found that when my girfriend and I tried them, it was more work than fun. I think it would have been easier if Hooper described how to go about the possitions in detail rather than showing other couples making it look easy.
If I had another chance, I would have looked through the book more before I bought it.

Summary: I'm Lovin' It!
Comment: I recently began seeing someone special following 3 to 4 years of celibacy after ending a 20-year marriage. I found myself more than a little intimidated at the idea of sex with someone new after so many years with the same man (not to mention so long with NO sex at all!). Sex with my husband had lost what little appeal it had years before the divorce (for many reasons more complicated than mere boredom or familiarity). Since going out with this new man, I have been feeling like a love-struck teenager. I'm absolutely in awe of my capacity for passion! Being naturally shy, I have always found it next to impossible to do what all the experts recommend: talk to your lover about what you like in bed. This is SO important! Maybe I was traumatized when I was younger by my alcoholic mother's torrid and public affairs, but I virtually swore off sex for life when I was in my teens, and I just never really liked sex.
Buying this book and another one called "The Ultimate Guide To Fellatio" by Violet Blue was part of a loose plan I had to open myself up (all puns intended ;-}. After we'd had sex a couple of times, I could see that my dispassionate demeanor was not doing either of us any favors; my desire was so intense, and it was like I wouldn't let him satisfy me, and he tried so hard! So I got up my nerve, and began teasing him over the phone about what I wanted to do to him. This went on for several days(which led to my first phone sex experience!). Needless to say, the anticipation was delicious! The next time I got my hands on him, we had an unforgettable night! The incredible pleasure I gave my lover turned me on like never before. Just before we began, I brought out the books, and we talked about some of the positions in the Kama Sutra - I pointed out a couple I really like (him on top holding my straight legs back as if to put them behind my head). This sharing seemed to move him in both a physical and emotional sense. This book is very tasteful - no sleaziness here. Shows photos of real people doing things people really can co - not impossible cartoons of an idealized Krishna and the Milkmaids practicing contortionism. Positions or suggestions from the original that don't seem possible or safe are discussed anyhow and put into context. These books gave me the confidence to talk about sex without feeling [otherwise]. That may sound pathetic to some, but I did not choose to feel that way. I have now chosen to stop feeling that way, and I'm incredibly grateful to Anne Hoooper and other writers whose books make me feel like it's OK to feel what I'm feeling. And I'm lovin' it!!!
