Summary: great idea-not so good story
Comment: what a great idea for a book, team up the new emerald heros.to bad the story writers didn't do more with it.i found that the story was long and drawn out.it was cool that they went places the original heros went and battled some of their old foes.i just didn't get hooked on the plot.the art work was good.as much as i wanted to get into this book it let me down.i was looking for some action but only got it in small(very small)doses,i would recomend buying this book just so you can compair the adventures of both the old and new.
Rating: 2
Summary: Pretty tiresome reading.
Comment: Standard DC type story with the new Green Landarn and Green Arrow hopeing to avoid a gang war that will tear a city apart. Both lousy writing and lousy artwork on hand.
Rating: 5
Summary: Lantern's Light Shines Bright
Comment: While the 3rd generation Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) has often seemed something less than stellar, his partner in this book (Green Arrow, Connor Hawke,) makes him shine. Kyle and Connor prove to be perfect foils for each other: one quiet, reserved, analytical, and wary whereas the other is loud, headstrong, and quick to jump into any danger presented to him.
But what is great about this book is that they don't JUST go around beating up bad guys. Part of this book, Green Lantern is looking for his father with Green Arrow's help. For the other part, Lantern and Arrow have to fight a potential racial war in New York.
These stories are far beyond your average "Find his secret hideout and beat him mercilessly!" These are actually WELL WRITTEN and thoughtful. The art is great too. And while "pro-Hal Jordan" fans may not like Kyle Rayner enough to buy this book, they are really missing out.
