Summary: Great for Batman and Batgirl fans!
Comment: This is the best of the Batman "decade" collections...much more thought-out than "Batman In The Fifties" and funner and more interesting than "Batman In The Seventies." While Bat-Girl (Betty Kane), Bat-Mite and Batwoman (Kathy Kane) show up briefly, the majority of the book focuses on Batman and Batgirl (Barbara Gordon). The art is great and the stories are smart and fun.

Plus, fans of the Batman TV show will enjoy this collection. While not as dim-witted as the TV show, this collection is just as fun!!!

Summary: Am I really that old!!!!!
Comment: I grew up reading these stories, at least two of which I have in the original comics. I can't believe how much I have changed as well as the Batman. I really think these stories are so underdeveloped now. I don't know what happened to me, but I have changed in tastes along with the Bat. I am a huge fan of Batman comics and have been since I was about 3 years old. Most of the stories in this volume have little plot development and are overly melodramatic. The dialogue is hyperextended and the artwork is simplistic. I still loved the walk down memory lane and read these stories over and over. I also love to read them to my 3 year old son. Batman and Robin are still themselves, the only thing missing is the darkness on today. I really appreciate the publication of these older stories though as the true Batman cannot be understood without knowing his history.

Summary: I LOVED IT!
Comment: This is a fantastic collection of Batman stories from the 60's. It also has some neat tidbits of information along the way to help the novice Batman fan. The book also included beautiful art work by many talented artists, including Bob Kane himself. This book is a nice book to add to an existing or new collection of superhero fiction.
