Comment: All of us are looking for new traditions we can start at holiday time. Helen Haidle has given us a look at the candy cane that can bring the full meaning of Christmas into our homes every Christmas. It is the story of the candymaker who wanted to be able to give to his customers a candy that would represent the birth of Jesus. Between the candymaker and his granddaughter, we now have a sweet treat to help us remember. I will read this book every year to both my children and grandchildren.
