Comment: I found the internet 5 years ago and fell in love with everything it had to offer. I guess I must have talked about it often as one night my mother called and asked if I could explain the internet to her. She lives 3000 miles away, so explaining over the phone was an obstacle to say the least! I was so excited over the fact that she was considering going online as since my dad died her world was getting smaller and smaller. I searched the internet for days to find just the right book for her. I was rewarded when I found Internet In an Hour for Seniors. I sent the book FedEx to my mother and she called me as soon as she received it. She told me that she could not believe just how easy the internet seemed. We talked everynight for a week until she felt comfortable with going online. I will never forget the first night I received an email from her. It brought tears to my eyes as I read it and made me smile at the way my mother was coming into the world of the internet. Because of this book, her world is no longer limited to what she can see from her back door. She even has email pals now from different states and is going to start a group with the Senior Citizens home and the local schools to send cards for every holiday and every birthday. This book opened a new world to her. If it was not wrtten so well she would never have even attempted to go online. This book never talks down to the reader, but instead gently leads them step by step to the world of the internet.
