Summary: Now I know why I let others push me around
Comment: This is a unique and useful self-help book. It is the first book I know of to take the vast scientific literature on dominance and submission in the animal world and show that we humans have the same instinctive mechanisms within our own brains as well. It explains how the tendency to submit to others works so powerfully (and unconsciously) in many people. It presents the first scientific explanation for why so many bright, talented people wind up as underachievers in a world that should offer them so much more. This book explains both how and why we tend to sabotage our own best efforts to succeed. And most importantly, this book tells the reader how to overcome their own Submission Reflex and achieve the rewards that they truly deserve.
