Comment: This book can be highly recommended for those interested in global English and/or language and culture. It contains essays from various auhtors which generally provide an excellent and thorough scholarship. Particularly interesting is Bamgose's "language and cross-cultural communication" which illustrates the difference of English usage in Great Britain and in Africa. From this article I got the insight that even people speaking the same language may express totally different values through it and may thus misunderstand each other completely.
