Comment: This new book was published in March and has received widespread attention and acclaim. It's a selection of the Canadian Medical Association's Personal Health Series and written by an IBD gastroenterologist at the University of Toronto Medical School. In very clear language and using excellent diagrams, Dr. Saibil discusses IBD's signs and symptoms, diagnostic procedures and instruments, the role and effects of diet and nutrition, available drug options, pros and cons of surgery and possible complications, effects on sex and pregnancy, insurance and IBD, and other quality of life issues. One major plus is this book is up-to-date on the latest IBD research and treatments. Without question it's the best one volume guide to IBD available!

Comment: I recently purchased this new book published in March byFirefly Books. It's a selection of the Canadian Medical Association'sPersonal Health Series and written by an IBD gastroenterologist at the University of Toronto Medical School. In very clear language and using excellent diagrams, Dr. Saibil discusses IBD's signs and symptoms, diagnostic procedures and instruments, the role and effects of diet and nutrition, available drug options, pros and cons of surgery and possible complications, effects on sexual activity and pregnancy, insurance and IBD, and other quality of life issues. One major plus is this book is up-to-date on the latest IBD research and treatments. In my opinion, it's the best one volume guide to IBD available! On the CCFC and CCFA's book lists.

Comment: I have been a sufferer from Crohn's disease for 30+ years.I found Dr Saibils book well and clearly written.It covers in non-medicalese all the subjects for which I needed information
and is also an excellent resource for family and friends of patients.
Dr Saibils book is an essential handbook for all Crohn's and Colitis patients and their family and friends.Buy it today.
