Summary: A source of comfort
Comment: A move can be a fun thing if you're not moving very far away. Our friends just moved very far away (6 hours) to start a complete new life. Their daughter is 12 so you can imagine it will be rough on her especially. I had purchased this book for my son when we moved (he was 9 at the time). We only moved a short distance away from our old house. It was more of a fun move. The book has come to be a keepsake and a glimpse into what once was. Our whole family can reflect on our past. My son really enjoyed filling out this book. It made him feel more involved. I also liked the fact that it made him see that a part of his life was past and that every moment should be treasured. The book helped him to reflect on the good times and to look forward to the good times to come.
I ended up sending this book to our friends daughter tonight. I hope it brings her a little comfort and allows her to reflect on the wonderful memories from their old house and to look forward to what wonderful memories are to come from their new house.
