Summary: Munschworks is great
Comment: Robert Munch has done all teachers and parents a favor bycompiling some of his more popular stories into onecollection. Children at my school love it when I take out this book. Munschworks is a great tool to involve young children in emergent literacy. The stories "Thomas' Snowsuit", "David's Father" and "I have to go" really get the children involved in the telling of the story which instills begining reading skills in the young reader. The children have these stories read to them so much that they end up memorizing the story and they can tell it to you. The children also like the silliness of "The paper bag princess" and like to make up different endings for this story. The idea to put five Munsch stories together is a wonderful one. Michael Martchenko and Munsch make a great tag team in the world of children's literature. The children in my classroom can't agree more. END
