Comment: This book was NEVER read by a news journalist, because if it were, we would all have heard about it. It was recommended by a good freind who knows the author. Its funny, it's honest and at times, a bit frightening when you realize this is how cops think and feel. As a window into the soul of the average police officer, its shines a simple light on their style of humor (black) and how biased and predjudiced law enforcement officers can be. That said, it equally details (anecdotally) the genuine "toughness" of the job, the lack of appreciation from the public, and what it feels like to put your life on the line on a regular basis. Before you judge them, read the book and see if you can't better understand the "whys" and "hows" of police lives. Buy this simple to read, fun book. Much respect.
