Summary: Dr. Law: intellectual with attitude
Comment: Fascinating documentary of a most interesting intellectual character. Learn how Dr. Law started life on a rural West Virginia farm to how he learned Japanese while working in a warehouse during his off time in the Army. Later Dr. Law began challenging the academic elite with brilliant insight and never backing down to the unreasonable academic aristocracy. Dr. Law keeps to his principles and wins.
I enjoyed every chapter and learning the wonderful life changes Dr. Law experienced. The last chapters brought fourth the most difficult challenge of what most every family fearfully dreads, the diagnosis of Alzheimer's of a loved one. Read how Dr. Law uses his intellect, love and compassion to win his wife back from the perils of Alzheimer's.
Steve Norby as a researcher and Mary Ann Shires Montogomery, as a writer are just gifted and they use their gift well. Like myself, many people will benefit from their efforts and the insights Dr. Law reveals.

Summary: Tears, laughter, love, hope and a victory!
Comment: Alzheimer's Disease hits close to home for millions of us.
There is much to hope for, as touchingly recited in this true story of the brilliant Dr. Tom Law and his struggles and eventual triumph over the disease which has struck his wife Rennie. It is a love story seared by tragedy, soaring triumphs, great academic successes and disappointments, but most of all you will be moved by the abiding devotion of a scientist who has learned to overcome his early discovery that man exists, in the simplest terms, only for procreation. His daily tasks are centered exclusively on the health and survival of his Rennie, whom he recently plucked from the dark abyss of Alzheimer's.
I recommend this book as a great read.
