I can't imagine living through the worst that Mother Nature can dish out, but Kim brings you right into the eye of one of the worst storms St.Maarten has ever encountered. She takes you right by the hand into her home, and even as the very walls of her house threaten to collapse... her unique off-the-wall sense of humor doesn't allow her to forget to note all the funny little things that can make a bad situation better. Somehow the entire terrifying experience becomes just another valuable lesson in life. This book reminds us all to live every day to its fullest because you never know what might be just around the corner. It also reminds us that we really have nothing to lose, but our sense of humor. Kudos, Kim, great read. "

She tells it like it is and holds back nothing..not her fears,not her humour, and not her tears.
Believe it or not, this is a fun book to read even though it is about a disaster, because it is about survival also.
The author never lets her humour get away from her and you will be laughing and crying along with her.
