Comment: This is a short book that I read slowly...savoring the story, its unfolding evolution of human potentials and the creation of spiritual enlightenment. This is a book about growing and responding to the challenges to one's consciousness and the provocations of events in a boy's life. Yet, I think there are universal themes to which we can all relate. The story is woven together with characters, events, and subjects that give a sense of fear and courage, dread and hope, and limitations and releases. It evoked reflections on my youth and the future. Worthy of each moment of time in the reading!!!
