Comment: if I could use negative number I would. This woman and her way of not cooking is meant to encourage a distain for cooking. Too many people already avoid cooking and feed their families a steady diet of bad food, takeout and foods filled with fat, sugar and preservatives.
Please, if you love your family, don't buy this book. It belongs in the garbage right beside Sandra Lee's food.

Comment: Great book! If anyone had half a brain they would realize that the point of this book is not for stuffy, provincial, ignorant people. The logic it uses is for intelligent individuals who have little to no time to spend hours cooking, but would like to have at least Semi-Homemade Desserts that look and taste completely homemade. Now, here is the logic part that was hard for the logically impaired to understand, in the title it reads Semi-Homemade Desserts. Now think about it for a moment and now try to assert the concept of using your brain. See what a difference it makes when you try to use common sense! This book is a great book for people who actually work, pay taxes, and don't have time to screw around in the kitchen. It gets to the point and gives you the ability to have Semi (key word here) Semi-Homemade Desserts that look and taste great. This book is fun and convenient, and not for the cantankerous or All natural (grind your own flour) Amish Desert makers out there. Get Real! Enjoy the gift of cooking and cooking pride while holding down a life, no need to order out for your beautiful dessert anymore!

Comment: This dessert book was awful. The bizarre combination of ingredients left you with a big blob of "too sweet" in your mouth. The other posts I've read here are obviously employed by the "lifestylist" herself. Bah Humbug. This book goes in the trash.
