Summary: Sheisty...Or...Shiesty? I Don't Know, You Choose
Comment: Those of you who look at your books closely will know what I'm talking about with the title. Anyways, let's get to the review. I rate this book a weak two strictly on the strength of the potential it had to be a good novel. I decided to keep reading despite the numerous typos and grammatical errors that were trying to outdo each other throughout the book. There was no character development whatsoever. Too much explaining of slang, most people reading this know what a "whip" is. It's one thing for you to create characters in a situation that may not be so good but it's another to just write the characters with no real plan. I didn't feel for any of the characters, not even Keisha who was portrayed as halfway decent. The only way I can recommend this book in good conscience is if you're just looking to read a girl in the hood story where the characters don't do much of anything you haven't seen or heard before. Three best friends-the gold diggin' hoe, the jealous friend, and the goody two shoes. I can't believe there's going to be a sequel, but hopefully Ms. Baker's writing skills will have improved as well as her editors for her fans' sake. Count me out on buying number 2. My 15 bucks are hard to come by and it would be too much of a risk to waste them.

Summary: WHATS REALLY GOOD
Comment: FIRST OF ALL I WANNA START BY SAYING IT WAS A PRETTY DECENT BOOK FOR WHAT IT WAS WORTH. BUT THE LINES IN THE BOOK WERE SO BIG THE BOOK IS 250 PAGES LONG AND IF THEY WOULD HAVE MADE THE LINES CLOSER, IT COULD OF BEEN ALL OF 170 PAGES LONG. BUT THE REASON IT KEPT MY ATTENTION IS CAUSE IT WAS TOLD BY MORE THAN ONE PERSON NOT JUST ONE POINT OF VIEW. ONE THING I RECOMMEND FOR THE AUTHORS ID TO READ OVER UR MATERIAL MORE THAN ONCE CAUSE THE TYPOS START TO GET REAL ANNOYING. OTHER THAN THAT THE BOOK WAS THE SHHHHHHHHHHHHH....... I AM DEFINITELY WAITING ON THE SEQUEL CAUSE MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, ITLL BE A LITTLE BETTER THAN THE FIRST.

Summary: this book was the bomb but can you get an editor?
Comment: I loved this book. And I promise I will buy anything T.N. Baker puts out but sister can you get somebody to edit your work. What is up with that? If Triple Crown won't edit your work then give Terri Woods a call or Carl Weber for that matter. Please, please, you have so much talent but it is wasted because of poor editing.
