Summary: A useful book but...
Comment: Similar to Green Ronin's other D20 Pocket Grimoires, this book compiles many of the existing magic items (swords, rings, wands, potions, etc...) from various existing D20 publications, to include the Dungeon Masters Guide, Arms and Armor, Spells and Spellcraft, Spells and Magic, Traps and Treachery, Hammer and Helm: a Guidebook to the Dwarves, and other less than main stream publications or web pages. However, this book only seems to contain that information which is governed by the open gaming liscence. Therefore many useful magic items from Sword and Sorcery (Relics and Rituals 1 & 2), Monte Cook's Eldrich Might books and the various Forgotten Realms books are not included. In addition, with Version 3.5 of Dungeons and Dragons having a release date of July 2003, many of these items may change under the new rules. Overall, this book is currently useful and the more obscure magic items offer the addition of something new to an existing campaign, hence the 3 stars.
