Comment: Nothing but a partial copy of CMMI manual. No new explanations or comments to help understanding of CMMI are included. However, If you want a handy copy of CMMI, this book may be useful.

Besides the SEI Tech Reports there are lots of ponderous books that are difficult to wade through if you are not familiar with cmmi. And if you are familiar with cmmi then you dont want to read all that verbiage again.
This summary will be a good overview before reading the detailed books, and will be a good summary after reading them.
This booklet tells you the useful stuff you need, but not a lot of worthless history and pompous bloviation about where cmmi may go in the future. This is for the here and now, and is real -- for people who have to use cmmi not pontificate about it.
Get the continuous version. No rational company would use the staged model even though it is the favorite of many SEI folks who have no idea about how the real world works.
